Figs -Ulcer – Burning Stomach Parts Used: Fruit

Figs are a time tested traditional biblical remedy and wonderful food. Apply cotton soaked with Figs Pure Herbs Liquid Extract directly to gum boil or mouth ulcer. Leave in place until healed. Change daily. Follow same procedure for external boils and ulcers. For foul smelling ulcers and cancers, saturate cotton cloth or gauze with mixture of milk and Figs Pure Herbs Liquid Extract and apply directly to the area. This removes stench. Figs are the most alkaline (anti-acid) of presently known herbs and far better than any alkali-seltzer for the stomach. Figs soak up acids and neutralize them. Internally, relieves heartburn by coating the stomach walls. Add 40 to 80 drops to one cup of milk, if desired, or take by itself.

A fig is a soft fruit with a thin skin that can be either green or purple. The flesh of a fig is typically red, and the entirety of the fruit is edible.

People have used figs to help treat health conditions related to the endocrine, reproductive, and respiratory systems, as well as the digestive tract.

Some researchers believe that figs have the following properties:

  • antioxidant
  • anticancer
  • anti-inflammatory
  • fat-lowering
  • cell-protective

These properties may be responsible for the therapeutic effects of figs.

Due to the fruit’s laxative properties, people commonly use fig syrup to help treat constipation. However, only a few studies have ever provided evidence of figs helping with constipation.

In one study, the researchers gave rats loperamide (Imodium) to cause constipation. The rats that received fig paste had fewer episodes of constipation than the control group.

Another study compared the effects of figs and fiber supplements in people with functional constipation. Figs improved the majority of constipation symptoms, including:

  • bowel movement time
  • number of bowel movements
  • stomach pain and discomfort

Figs also decreased the effort necessary to pass a stool and improved the sense of incomplete evacuation.

DOSE: 4O to 80 drops 3 times per day and as needed to counteract excess stomach acid as well as repair stomach ulcers.

Directions on label: For adults, mix 2 ml of extract in 2 oz (60 ml) of water one time daily preferably with a meal.
